Little Computer Solutions Wins the AccessNewOrleans 2004 Marketplace Award

10/28/2004 — AccessNewOrleans is a minority business economic development growth strategy designed to aid the business community and promote the equalization of opportunity in the City of New Orleans. This initiative was born out of Mayor C. Nagin’s vision to advance New Orleans as one of the leading metropolitan cities in this country, in which previously disadvantaged communities will also benefit from economic growth.

The first Annual Minority Business Symposium called “The Marketplace 2004, Building wealth through minority entrepreneurship” was held in New Orleans, Louisiana on October 27-28, 2004 at the Hilton New Orleans Riverside Hotel.

The event consisted of business classes held on October 27, 2004 until October 28, 2004. The event ended with an award ceremony that honored companies in 18 different categories. The Mayor’s office of Economic Development recognized excellence in categories that highlight demonstrated commitment and dedication to the growth of minority businesses and those who support them. The Recognizing Excellence Awards are given in 18 categories that cross industry lines.

Little Computer Solutions, Inc. and three other IT firms were nominated in the category of Communications/IT. Little Computer Solutions, Inc. was fortunate enough to win an award for this category at the first annual awards ceremony.
